Is there going to be a cost of living payment for August,as I keep seeing posts and don't know if it's true or not.

Thank you.

No further cost of living payments are planned.

Most websites at the moment saying otherwise are based abroad.

Hi @Carlos76, unfortunately Kimi87 is right here, there's no cost of living payments planned for 2025.

There are some really misleading headlines around and a lot of these websites rely on people clicking to make money.

It's always worth checking on a government website for confirmation if you see something that talks about benefits.

    Hi Kimi87

How long do you stay on LWCRA, before next assessment

    Thank you

LCWRA doesn't have a fixed end date like PIP.

It carries on being paid until such time as you are found fit for work, or moved to LCW.

There would be a review date on the system based on the prognosis from your assessment but it's pointless knowing because:

The date is a guide only, they can reasess before or after.

Re assessments for the majority of LCWRA claimants have been suspended for several years now, as such significant backlogs exist within the system and very very few are currently taking place.

Yes, due to having LCWRA a work allowance is added to your claim. This is the amount of money you can earn before UC make the standard deduction.

With Housing Element you can earn £411.

Without Housing Element you can earn £684.

Earning over the applicable amount means UC deduct £0.55 for every pound earned.

It's a good idea that the nature of job doesn't contradict why you were awarded LCWRA. This can count against you when re assessed.
