Universal Credit Review
hello
I recently had an UC review where I was asked to provide 4 months bank statements etc. I had the call this week, the person from UC was extremely hard to understand and didn’t know what a “kennel” was for one of my payments. She then proceeded to ask how to spell this. Anyway, I got a journal entry yesterday am and the review was complete and no changes to my UC.
Ten minutes later I get a new message
“We need to see evidence of your latest capital declaration - I appreciate you has provided bank details to my colleague recently but they have cleared the evidence now they have done their work.”
Is this normal practice? This time my evidence is been sent to a decision maker, but what I can’t understand the initial review last 1 hour and was extremely challenging on my health. To get a message saying the review is complete to then getting a new message off someone different really has got my anxiety going through the roof.
any support understanding this is much appreciated

Hi,
This doesn't sound normal but perhaps it usually happens behind the scenes, and in your case the UC staff member deleted the bank statements when they weren't meant to.
All you can really do is wait for the outcome, but there shouldn't be any issue if the first one was fine.
(PS - I can't remember the last time I saw a kennel, most pets sleep indoors nowadays, so a younger person might not know what they are.)
