Hi, my name is RupertBear61! Had a bad experience with Green Power scooters

Hi, I wanted to share a recent experience I've had with Green Power for anyone considering buying a scooter from them. I like the scooter but their after sales is diabolical.
I bought the Fastest model less than 8 months ago, the scooter is good, but it was delivered with a fault, they forgot to connect the lead overcharged the battery so I had to wait a week to use it while they sent out an engineer to sort it. After 7 months the battery charger just stopped working, they're a cheap poor quality charger. I called customer service and was told the warranty is only 3 months on the chargers and I'd have to buy a replacement, that was £76! It arrived about 10 days later meaning I was without my scooter for that time, they said they can't offer a faster postal option??? The replacement arrived and lasted for approximately 6 weeks and then started tripping out our electricity. I called customer service again and told them I wasn't happy about it, they offered to post a replacement and collect the faulty one. They then said they were out of stock and it would be at least 2 weeks, I said I could get one from Amazon delivered the next day and they were only £30!!! The girl in customer services said that's going to invalidate your warranty then. So I've waited another 2 weeks without my scooter and now they claim that the charger has been delivered and it's been signed for. It hasn't! I called them again, they sent me a proof of delivery which hadn't got my signature on it, just some squiggly line. I said it's not my signature, it's not been delivered and they said it's my responsibility to contact royal mail and find out what's happened. Green Power after sales is absolutely rubbish, they are unhelpful and uncaring. I would recommend paying a little more and getting a Kymco.

Hi @RupertBear61, sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with your scooter. This doesn't sound good at all.
Do you think you'll be raising a complaint with them about what's happened?

Hi Rosie, I like the scooter but their service is appalling. Yes, I have complained to the manager of the customer service department and was basically told that they get stuff from China and everyone is having problems getting stuff because of ships being delayed, so there's nothing they can do. I said, have you ever heard of airmail? ovals asked why had they run out of them, don't they have stock control and minimum stock levels? She said they do but they'd had a lot of orders in for them. Which is another thing that makes me think they're a low quality item if they've had lots of orders.
