Is it normal 4 a health centre to not allow you to have a letter of supporting evidence from the Dr?

Had to use a 4 instead of for in the title so I could fit it all in.

Anyway, I printed out my issues which relate to certain PIP descriptors and visited the Dr, I asked him if he could write a letter which supports these issues which I can then send with my PIP form. He said 'I will certainly do that, just take your print out to reception and ask them to scan it in for me'.

So that is what I did.

A few days later I get a text from my health centre saying 'Please find attached a brief summary for the information you have requested, if PIP require further information they will contact us directly'.

The summary just mentions what meds I'm on and that I have anxiety and depression and that's it.

They also did exactly this several months ago when I requested a Dr's letter online.

This has me worried that they haven't scanned the letter in for the doctor.

I don't understand why the health centre would be so reluctant to allow a Drs letter, as I'm sure PIP doesn't always contact your Dr or health centre for supporting evidence if you don't send any with your form. So if you don't send any evidence, and they don't contact your Dr or health centre, then I think the chances are you will not be awarded PIP because of no evidence.

Is it normal for health centres to be so reluctant to allow Dr's letters?

I'm going to have to visit the health centre and ask them if it's been scanned in.
