Hi, my name is toffeeapples! can I get a tuition fee loan while on UC?

Hi there,
I am considering doing a part-time portfolio course in Art which is at level 3 for a year. Is it possible for me to have loan for the tutition fees whilst claiming UC. I previously did a degree course, however, I did not attain the level I hoped due my mental health. So I would like to revisit a course which is run by a tutor, who gave me such inspiration in college. I left the 1st and the 2nd year of college with distinctions. So you can imagine my disappointment at scraping through on my degree.

Any available loan will reduce your UC award, even if you don't take it.
As studying & UC is a complex area, I'd recommend contacting Disability Rights UK who have a Disabled Students Helpline.
