PIP Review Decision

Hello Everyone,
DWP sent a text to let me know they've made a decision about my PIP (paper review) and I will receive it within a fortnight. I'm really panicking.
What's odd is that I usually have to do a telephone assessment and haven't this time. Is this a bad sign?
My claim is mainly for mental health plus a physical issue. I've read that they're stopping claims for mental health conditions, is this true?
Apologies, I'm just not coping with the waiting.
Best regards,
Milly

None of us can tell you whether its bad news and it has not been confirmed they are stopping payment for mental health
We will have to wait until the government make an official announcement in the autumn.

Hi @MoochingMinnie, as luvpink mentioned, a paper assessment doesn't mean you'll have a particular result good or bad. It's usually just that they have been able to make a decision based on your forms without needing to speak to you.
Nothing is changing with PIP claims until we hear back from the government's review next year, so please don't worry that they've rejected your claim for that reason. Mental health is still a very valid reason to be claiming PIP.
Hope your letter arrives soon!

Thank you for your reply @Rosie_Scope, really appreciate it.
I've read so many different stories online I didn't know what to believe.
Best regards,
Milly

Its best to avoid reading stories on line because there is a lot of scaremongering and misinformation.

Thanks for your replies @luvpink, I stopped reading/watching stuff online as it was making me panic.
Thought it best to come here for more balanced advice.

Milly
