Very excited, it reminds of waiting for xmas morning to come around when I was a kid😁

I've just been in the rescues charity shop and everything was a £1 today, he now has numerous toys to go at when he gets here 😂

Aw Billy is beautiful! He looks so cosy and comfy @onmylonesome!
How have you found the first week with your new furry friend?😄0 -
Hello from another Newbe :) Joined this afternoon and still finding my way around. I live alone also, which is fine except when I need some help lol.

Chaotic!😂 he loves to play with the balls I got him, the zoomies are never ending and he just won't leave me alone!
He is such a loving boy though, he loves his cuddles with me on the sofa and snuggles up to me when we go to bed 😍

Unfortunately it didn't work out with Billy for various reasons which I wont go into so I had to let him go back to the rescue,i tried for 4 weeks but decided it would be better for him to be rehomed with somebody else, again for reasons I wont divulge,
After he went back I decided no more dogs but after some time had passed I realised that I couldn't live without a dog in my life so started looking again at the same rescue and I will be meeting Bella on Friday morning.

@onmylonesome i'm so sorry it didn't work out with Billy but I'm so glad you will meet with Bella soon. It takes so much courage to make such decisions, you have my huge respect and heartfelt thoughts for what you went through and very good luck and best wishes to you with Bella! Take good care.

It was very hard for me to take him back to the rescue @Santosha12 he's a beautiful boy and deserves what I couldnt give him, at my request the rescue kept in touch with me with updates on him and I am happy to say that he found a new home straight away and is doing really well with his new family which makes. me very happy!!

What a lovely outcome onmylonesome but very hard/painful to do, good on you putting Billy first. I helped my lovely mum get a youngish (? 3 yrs old) rescue dog, a Kokoni, that had come in from Romania in 2017, against my better judgement as she had dementia. I was going to take her if anything happened to mum then could not because of me getting ill/mum went in a home after deteriorating badly.
I rehomed her via a dog sitter I know well. It was utterly heartbreaking especially after what she'd gone through in Romania. OMG she is SO happy now, so loved and a real
little globetrotter, I keep in touch with the new owner and she takes her everywhere, last year to Broadstairs for a week and St. Ives for a week and always off on a train somewhere.
I went to see them 18 months ago I worried my visit might upset her, well, she didn't seem to recognise me but did seem wary of me. I wondered if she thought she'd be taken back to mum. I don't think it's right to go again but I'll keep in touch. This is her attached. And her gift as she's frightened and wears socks over her head around fireworks night 🥰😍.
