Hi, my name is gemmap1984! Will it be a problem that I didn't declare my child maintenance payments?

Hello just in need of some advice.
I have been sent a request for a UC review to check my claim ( standard one eberyone is getting?
I have sent my statements but I get child maintenance from my ex husband. They are swear we are separated and have been for 6 years.
But I didn't tell them I was getting it as assumed I didn't need to because its not classed as income.
I am overdrawn in my bank the the other back I have has nothing it it.
I have no savings never have done since the start of my claim.
Are they going to think I haven't declared in come when they see the childmainamce payments
The payment is received every month. Same amount says my ex husband's name and ref child maintenance.
Please hlep

Hi @gemmap1984, welcome to the community. If you explain this to them over the phone during your review, they should understand. As you say, it's not classed as income, so it shouldn't be a problem that you haven't declared it.
Hope your review goes smoothly ☺️

You are correct in that you don't need to declare maintenance payments. If you are asked at the review what these payments just be honest.
