Struggling with my mental health and don’t really know what to do

hi,
not sure what to say really, my mental health is in the ditch and I just don’t know what to do, I’m feeling so lost and disconnected, dealing with horrible thoughts, i rang the crisis line earlier but when they answered I got too scared and put the phone down and I couldn’t say anything.

Hi @ClaireS I am so sorry you are having such a challenging time. You have no need to be sorry for posting on the forum about your mental health. We are here to listen and help where we can.
Could you perhaps try ringing the crisis line again.
We have a Mental Health thread under Categories, where other members post about there own Mental Health issues. You might like to read some of the posts and join in.
Please take care of yourself.

Hello ClaireS,
I am sorry you aren't feeling good today. Glad you returned to this site though. I hope you feel that you can look freely on the different categories here and the light-hearted games if that's something you might like to look at too.
I am wishing you well and hoping your evening brings you some ease.

Hey Claire. Sorry to hear this. Everyone is different in their coping mechanisms. There is an app called better help. If it's affordable to you. They do therapy and it's very tailored to the individual. I did it a few years back and it really helped me. Saved the waiting on NHS cause I was in crisis in that moment and couldn't wait. Sounds like your similar. You could also visit your GP too for further medical help.
Other than that. I learnt some techniques to break up a pattern of negative and harmful thinking. Distracting yourself in other things. Make a list of the things you truly love in your world. And constantly read it and imagine good times involving the people or things ilon it. Force those thoughts to stop the constant circle of bad thoughts. That helped me lots. I know sounds like nothing but rummination is a terrible thing.
