How Do I Transfer Files from My Samsung Galaxy Ace

Hi There,

This is a message for all Android users.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace and would like to transfer the notes that I have created on it, to my mac. The problem I have is that I have tried everything from doing it wired via usb, to using bluetooth, but nothing seems to work for me. I appreciate this is an old device and therefore, the support could be limited.

    Another thing I have just thought about, is that the reason being the phone is communicating with my mac, is that they are incompatible devices.

    Heya @csno01 good to see you again. 😁

    What app have you used for making these notes? Transferring data between an android device and a Mac isn't the easiest due to the difference in OS. I'd suggest copying all the notes into an email and emailing yourself with them. That way you can open your email on the mac and have access to all the notes.

    I've never used Android but I wanna help a fellow Mac user 😆 umm… similar to Albus's idea but maybe a bit less labour intensive.. is there an option to export your notes using the Notes app on your android, as like a basic text document or something?

    You could upload them to google drive then download to your mac.

    Since my original post, I have tried to connect via usb using Madrid file transfer. Unfortunately, I have had no luck in doing so.

    I am using the Notes or Memo app on my Samsung device to create the post which I am trying to transfer. Thank you for the recommendation. I will give it a go. Sometimes it’s the easiest of things which you don’t think about. LOL.

    Glad to hear things are good @csno01 all is well in Albusworld, thanks for asking. 😁

    If it's the notes app, you should be able to send each note to a word document or similar, then throw it all in the email and send it to yourself. Not the quickest option, but it's one I know works. 😊
