Received a letter from pip requesting bank details. I had a claim a few years ago but due to certain circumstances in regards to contact I lost my claim. I then about 6 months ago received a letter stating I may be owed money and to get in touch which I did. I didnt hear anything for 6 months until a letter stating they needed my bank details so I rang them and gave them my details. I was just hoping someone could shed some light on the situation and what I should be expecting now? Many thanks.

If I've done this wrong I apologise. I'm a little bit useless when it comes to this kind of thing.

Hi @tommy86morgan and welcome to the community. ☺️ You're absolutely fine. It takes a little getting used to posting. That does sound very interesting. I wonder if they've perhaps reviewed the original claim and reversed the initial rejection. Did the letters give any more information about what had happened? It might be worth calling them to ask for a little more detail about what this is all about. But if they're asking for your account details, it sounds as though they're looking to pay you something.
