I would use your UC Journal to write a note explaining what happened, and use the Report a Change section to record the correct amount.
You may be asked for bank statements as proof.

They typically don't accept uploads as proof of capital, taking paper statements into a Job Centre is what they usually ask for.
I don't know how long thry will take to re calculate your payment, but you'll know once it's all been processed as a letter will be added to your Journal stating the amount owed. Payment will then be paid within a few working days.

What kind of mistake have you made? Did you just make a small error and was the amount you entered just slightly wrong. How much do you have in savings and have you submitted bank statements to UC? If it something minor then there may not be an issue as everyone makes mistakes.

On UC the savings amount gets updated within a week. I have to change mine online at the end of every month and it's always gone through before the statement gets generated 3 or 4 days later.
However, with a big change like this, you may be required to provide statements as above.
For some perspective though, you will only lose £100 from this months payment if they do pay you based on £12k savings.

Welcome to the community @grahamnacho90 😊 You've made a few posts about this so I've removed the others as can see you've had a response to this one. Hope that's ok.

Was that in reference to New Style ESA?
See this thread if so.

If you are getting New Style ESA plus UC, then the monetary amount is exactly the same:
£823.41 UC: Standard Allowance & LCWRA
or
£609.05 New Style ESA (the monthly equivalent of a weekly benefit)
+£214.36 UC.
= £823.41.
Your income is now New Style ESA topped up by UC. Not just UC.
I know it is confusing and I've given many people in the same position the same advice. You were expecting all your income to be UC and are panicking because UC is low, but it's turned out differently because you get both NS ESA and UC.

You are already getting New Style ESA, once you claimed UC Old Style ESA ended and transferred automatically to New Style ESA.
You should now be receiving £281.10 a fortnight in ESA payment, this is New Style ESA.

new esa is not means tested can i get it if i aint worked in the last three years
0 -
Those criteria are for new claims only.
You qualify for New Style ESA as a transfer from previous old style esa.
Your entitlement to old style ESA means you have automatic entitlement to New Style ESA. This happens automatically after you claim UC.

so does this mean i have to make a new claim too new esa

i get income based esa when i get paid through UC the lwcra element is deducted why is this ??
also for the new style esa will i have enough ni contributions if i aint worked in the last 5 to 7 years

You don't have to claim New Style ESA, it has already happened automatically as part of your migration to UC.
You were receiving old style esa (Contributions Based). Eligibility to this lasts as long as you are in the Support Group.
For transfers as part of UC migration, you do not have to have recent NI conts to qualify. Your previous CB ESA award qualified you.
New Style ESA and UC are both income replacement benefits. Under the welfare system a person is entitled to one income replacement benefit only. So that's why the NS ESA is deducted from your UC award.
