Can I cancel NSESA and continue my UC?
I recieve NSESA and UC.
I am in the support group for NSESA.
I am in the LCWRA for UC.
Each month my UC is reduced by the amount I get for the NSESA.
I want to start up my own little business which would mean I would be earning above the £194/week threshold that is set for NSESA claimants.
My question is, can I cancel my NSESA claim (because it’s restrictive on earnings) and claim the UC only?
I would then receive the UC without the NSESA deduction, is that correct?
Then, as far as I can work out, my only deductions on my UC would be my earnings and capital.
Any advice much appreciated

i think your spot on. I think you contact ESA and uc disclose your earnings and change of employment and they will change you to you to ucredits only I think. Depends how far above the quota for income you are. I think it's it 50p for every pound over the allowed amount.

it’s 55p for every £1.00 earned over a threshold of £684.

If you claim Housing Element the threshold is £411.
