    Now that's an uneasy photo @Ross1975, the way the carpet is so bright but has a big window reflecting down on it is making me feel a bit uncomfortable🀣

    StarryEyed, it's not shipped yet, it will ship in September as they don't have certain things in yet.

    I was wrong about how you get a 4K disc and Blu Ray disc in the case, you can only chose between 4K and Blu Ray, they made it sound as though you get both and I had missed the little drop down menu where you choose. So I ended up choosing the Blu-Ray rather than 4K as I don't have a 4K player or 4K TV and have no plans on getting them.

    I also added to my order some scents that you smell at certain parts of the movie to make it feel more like you're there. Backrooms x Joya Scent Kit – A24 Shop

    I can't wait until the run up to Christmas as I can start posting up liminal Christmas pics and videos, wouldn't really feel right doing it beforehand, I'd be really interested in seeing other people's too.

    Rachel_Scope, I never thought of that before, I always thought of the scents probably making the experience more immersive but never thought if maybe they would increse the creepiness too, maybe they will.

    I actually have a piece of wallpaper from the real Backrooms, I posted a picture and a video of it on page 2. You may notice that the wallpaper isn't yellow like the wallpaper in your post and the original Backrooms picture, that's because the wallpaper wasn't actually yellow itself, it was the lighting and camera that made it look yellow in the picture. I think I do prefer the yellow though as that's just what I associate with the Backrooms.

    I did actually imagine buying the wallpaper from A24 and decorating a room with it, I'm not sure if I'd like to go that far or not really. But I did add a sample of the wallpaper to my order, it's 12" x 17" and I thought I could frame it and put it on the wall, but then I saw how much shipping cost it added to my order (around Β£20) and my order was already a lot of money, so I deleted it from the order.

    I've just gone back and had a look @Ross1975. I think I prefer it to be yellow too. I think it makes it look older which makes it scarier to me.

    When are you expecting everything to arrive?

    Rachel_Scope, can you imagine if in the movie they decided to be authentic and have everything coloured the way it really was coloured (like the wallpaper being a very light cream), although it would be more authentic it just doesn't seem like it would work at all, lol.

    Both mugs are ready to ship now, it says the Blu Ray ships in late August so it could be ready to ship now too, the scent kit wont ship until Sept. So since I don't want them to ship things separately (it would cost more money) everything will probably ship in Sept.

    Would you guys say this picture is liminal? Surreal yes, weird sure, but liminal? I think it really straddles the line between liminal and not liminal. I love it anyway.

    I love this @Ross1975! I totally agree that it's not quite liminal but it's definitely weird. I think it would look more liminal if it wasn't so well lit and if the colours were a bit saturated maybe? Did you make this yourself?

    Rachel_Scope, no, I didn't make it, it's a picture I found on Pinterest, made by this user: Pinterest just to let you know some of their pictures are a bit disturbing, but there are plenty of cool ones too.

    I think maybe if the picture looked like it was taken with a camera flash, and maybe if the picture quality was lower then it would look more liminal?

    Yeah exactly. That'd definitely be more liminal. I think it's interesting how much pink there is in these images. I wonder why that colour feels more liminal?
