I'm in complete shock 😲
I KNOW I PROBABLY DON'T NEED TO PUT THIS TRIGGER WARNING ON, BUT IVE DECIDED TO AS MY POST IS ABOUT CANCER AND I WANT TO GIVE OTHER MEMBERS A CHOICE OF READING MY POST IF THEY WANT TO OR IF THEY THINK IT'LL BE TOO UPSETTING FOR THEM TO READ THEN THEY HAVE THE OPTION TO SCROLL PAST IT IF THEY WANT TO*
A couple of weeks ago I found out that my eldest cousin, (who is male and is age 45. he's a couple of years older than me) on my mum's side of my family, my cousin's mum is my mum's twin sister, was diagnosed with both kidney and spinal cancer but I found out today that his cancer has spread.
He's in a special hospital as he has daily chemo for an hour a day and he's also on a cancer medication.
The tumor in his spine has actually broken his spine due to where it is I think my mum said as she'd spoken to my cousin earlier.
I think that my mum was expecting me to get upset about it but I didn't.
To be honest I don't think it's sunk in properly yet.

Very sorry to hear about your cousin’s cancer. Hopefully the specialist treatment will help keep things as stable as possible for him. It’s not unusual not to feel upset straight away, this kind of news takes time to settle. I’m sure you and your family will do all you can to support your cousin through this difficult time. Take care xx

Sorry to hear your cousin isn't well @BrianMcFaddenfan24, that sounds really painful for him and must have been a big shock for you and the rest of the family. I hope the doctors are able to keep him comfortable.
Thinking of you and your family 💛

Ty everyone. He's in a cancer centre, I think it's in Liverpool somewhere.
My mum's going to see him today.
My cousin told my mum that visiting times are 10am to 8pm, but they are very flexible with the times as my auntie who is my mum's twin sister got lost when she went to visit him and she didn't get the hospital where my cousin is until 9.30pm, but they still let her see her eldest son, who is my cousin.
