Pip telephone assessment

I had my pip telephone assessment today, I was really nervous, I felt overwhelmed with all the questions

I feel like I’ve contradicted my self on some of the questions because I felt rushed, confused, didn’t know what to say, being asked about dates and things I’d already spent a lot of time putting forward on my form, I feel so upset like I’ve messed it all up after all the distress of the form

Not sure what to do, I don’t feel like I’m going to score any points for anything now.
The assessment lasted 2 hours

I was so overwhelmed and I felt the line of questions ridiculous

What’s the point to f me filling in the form in the first place!!!!! I feel so upset and I don’t now hold much hope of qualifying even tho I have several health conditions

Hey @sj2025 I'm so sorry this has been so stressful to you, I know they're not fun.
If (That's a big if) they turn you down for PIP, please remember it's not the end of the road, you can then apply for a Mandatory Reconsideration and if they still say no, you can go to a tribunal. Which sounds scarier that it actually is. So please try not to worry too much. 😊

I really struggled with the assessment, I felt rushed, I felt on some questions the lady was rushing me, she kept on saying she had another assessment to do

Which put me under pressure to rush my answers

I will definitely push this further if I have to

Both the form and assessment has been a nightmare tbh I’m glad the assessment is over but I hope they did actually fully read my form in the first place! Thanks for the reply!
I do feel really upset by the whole experience

I would try not to worry if you are turned down as you can challenge the decision. If you want help to do this I would suggest that you contact your local Citizens Advice for support. Sometimes individuals feel that assessments have gone well and aren't awarded PIP and vice versa. If you wanted to you could contact PIP and ask for a copy of the Consultation Report (PA4) a few days after the assessment which will give you an indication of the outcome.
