NHS issues!

Sorry to start such a serious conversation in this section but there’s nowhere else for it.
My partner has a rear blood cancer and for the last 18 months attends hospital for 9 working days per month (11 until January this year) one day is to see the haematologist and they always do a blood pressure check. After his appointment they always send a letter to our GP with all of the blood test results and his blood pressure results.
Our GP wants a blood pressure review at the surgery. Why can’t they read the results sent from the hospital every month for 18 months?
What’s all the tech that the NHS has for? Wasn’t it brought in so medics could cross reference?
I’m raging about this, last week I explained everything I said here and that he was starting another round of chemotherapy that would last 7 working days and they booked him an appointment for 3 weeks later so he wasn’t going to be at the hospital, this afternoon someone rang him and asked him to attend the surgery tomorrow! So either listening and understanding is beyond their capabilities! Or our GP practice is awful! I think it’s the latter not the former! Unfortunately the only other practice near us is worse!
Can anyone answer any of my questions?

Hi @gussiefinknottle1, please don't apologise. I'm not sure of the systems in place but it does seem like the GP should just be able to review the hospital results. I've had a look online and it seems that some areas have systems to share information but I'm not sure if that's the case everywhere. I completely understand your frustration, it must be disruptive for you both. 0
