hi, would I be eligible whilst waiting for my sons dla to be verified to get a COC advance? If so what items would fall under being eligible?

It says that the chance of circumstances advances are usually only given out if there's going to be a significant change in your entitlement to Universal Credit. You may also need to show that you'd be unable to cope financially until the next UC payment.

Do you have access to your UC journal? If so, it may be worth popping a message on there to see whether you'd be eligible and what you'd need to provide as evidence.

Some councils will have hardship payments too if things are really tough financially: https://www.gov.uk/cost-living-help-local-council
