Pip tribunal
Hi everyone hope your well. Just wondering how long is time scale for pip tribunals and how likely it is to win your case. My son has been waiting for his since march 2025. When first claimed pip he got nothing. Then after mandatory got 4 points daily 4 points mobility so now going to tribunal. He has sent in a lot of evidence. He suffers with phorsic arthritis he suffers with anxiety . He struggles to walk pain in feet and back. Recently been put on biologics for his condition. Occupational therapist had had a hand rail put up his stairs as only had one on one side. Has frames around both toilets help him get on off toilet. Sofa has had legs added for height help with his back. He has also had bath cushion for bath help get in out. They have pushed for a wet room with shower this would be safer for him. He drives manual car struggles with peddles as pain in feet. He drives to school and back only journey he does as has to take kids to school this journey he knows. He does not drive anywhere else. He can't go on unfamiliar journey without another person due to anxiety. We take him shopping or get shopping for him. Take him to doctor and hospital appointments. He was awarded 4 points mobility can walk 50 metres no more than 200 metres think that was the one. He struggles to talk to people needs support to do so. His wife gives him his medication by injection. I'm hoping when goes to tribunal they listen to his needs.

Heya @Toffee2022 unfortunately wait times for tribunals can vary massively, depending on where in the country you are. But it could be a year or more. The tribunal actually listen and will let you explain the situation and take everything into account, so they're worlds apart from the original assessments. I think the current success rates are around 70% for wins at tribunal. So they're worth going through. I've had 3 myself and won all of them.

When did pip test answering questions would have scored 13 points at least daily and 14 points mobility originally he got 4 points on each. He got 2 points using aid in kitchen cook simple meal . He has to have injections his wife gives him so should get point for that he has frames around both toilets in house to help him get on off toilet so should get 2 points for that . He needs social support to speak to other people so should get 4 points for that. He needs help dressing and undressing lower body . Needs help to get in out of bath but uses a blow up cushion get in and out also waiting on getting a wet room put in so can shower instead. Had rail put up on wall for going upstairs as only had rail one side so now safer. Had legs put on sofa to raise it as was to low to the floor. Mobility gave him 4 points for being able walk 50 metres but no more than 200 metres. He can just about drive kids to school and back although had panic attack Friday while driving. This journey is familiar does every day during week. He don't drive anywhere else he don't even take car get petrol my husband does. We take him shopping or get shopping for him. We take him all hospital appointments . He can't go on unfamiliar journey on his own needs us with him. I believe he should get enhanced mobility my worry is they give him the 10 points and take off other 4.
