Those look enormous @jonf! I can see why people find them a bit scary but I do find them cute. Especially those fruit bats with the huge eyes. I just remembered this video of a cranky little bat eating a banana:

They are a bit off-putting! Luckily I think those kinds of bats only eat insects and fruit, although he looks like he'd have a bit of a chomp if you crossed him 😁

Maybe people who are fearful of bats have seen too many Dracula movies?!!! Dracula can also turn into a wolf. I once has a dog who was accused several times of being a wolf, but she never drew blood - as far as I know!

If you made a ball of dry lavender the put it in their nest they will leave immediately.

In Canada they use an electronic device and the poor bats crash.
