edited October 7 in Universal Credit (UC)

hi can anyone advise me please I’m due a payment of uc on Friday the 10th October but as yet no statement on account it was due yesterday. Left messages on journal to get back to me but no luck yet and phoned the uc helpline twice just to check if there are any blocks or whatever preventing the statement from showing up.one advisor told me I was going to be phoned as it says on account we will call you your claim is being processed. Which sent me into a panic I’m an anxious sort and worry constantly. The second advisor said that to ignore the phone call bit and that there was no relevant info on account and wait for a case manager to get in touch. Just wondered if this has happened to anyone else ? It happened once to me a while back and all was ok but I’m a real worrier need advice

Thanks

I know sometimes the statements can be late but surely the advisors on the helpline know what’s going on or do they ?

Heya @karen57 you're right and you don't need to worry. This can happen sometimes and it's often wise to take what the call centre staff say with a pinch of salt, as they can often be out of the loop on things and can only go on what their systems say. So I'd try not to worry too much about this, it may just be the system being a bit glitchy and not updating things properly. ☺️

thank you hope it’s nothing to worry about. The telephone thing upset me imagined all sorts. It said that they will ring me as my claim was being processed, but I thought that meant at the start of the claim?

Your claim is processed every month @karen57 so processing in this case means the payment is being processed between the DWP and your bank. If anything's wrong, someone will contact you about it, so fear not. 😊
