Those are government proposals, not confirmed changes.

It's disgusting. They failed one way and are trying another. I had some faith they had good intentions but as this process has continued it's become pretty clear they just want rid of sickness benifets. How can you limit a benifet for an illness that never ends. I can't ever see this getting out into law.

LCWRA is Universal Credit, not New Style ESA.

As I explained to you recently after migration to UC you either end up wholly on UC, or New Style ESA topped up by UC depending on what your legacy ESA is.

This proposal would impact those wholly on New Style ESA because they are not entitled to UC which is means tested.

New style esa is for those who were getting both CB and IR ESA prior to migration.

    After migration:

Mixed award =UC & New Style ESA

    Income Related = UC

If this was stopped for existing claimants on both UC & NS ESA, the NS ESA would stop and the claimant would get the same amount of money, but from UC only. They wouldn't be any worse off financially.

This is why I said it would only impact those solely on NS ESA.

Sorry kimi does that mean if you get uc and new style esa the new style will stop after a year

As things are at the moment no.

There is a proposal to change the rules and time limit NS ESA in some way, that the Government is currently consulting on.

    So if

So if I moved voullentatrlly from ESA support group to UC and now get ESA every two weeks and at the end of the month get my UC with deductions does that mean I was on CBESA with IR top up before switching to uc

Yes your understanding is correct. That was also my situation before moving to Universal Credit.
