PIP Review - Was the reviewer right?

hi everyone hope you’re all doing good
can some one help me here so I had my pip video review yesterday and can’t get my head round this I have ptsd with trauma psychosis due to multiple trauma spinal stenosis osteoarthritis in both shoulders now my PTSD causes me to have really vivid flashbacks and visions the flashbacks are all about my eldest daughter my mum my brother my aunt and my dad all of whom I lost starting when I was 24 then lost one every couple of years but I also buried my daughter 3 times 1996 her heart in 2000 and 87 pieces of her in 2001 due to the alderhey organ scandal now my visions are about my daughters who are alive dying in horrific ways like getting ate by dogs car crash’s falling of cliffs etc well when I was explaining this and mentioned I told them to switch the machine off on my 3 year 9 month old daughter and she dyed in my arms to the person doing the review she asked me to stop and not to be so vivid as she was going through something similar
Is this right and not to be heartless but fair as I couldn’t get the full affect of how all this affects my everyday
Thanks karl

Hi @kj1892
I'm so sorry to read about your situation and so sorry to read about what happened to your daughter. It sounds like you have been through a massive amount and it doesn't sound like the person was very understanding yesterday0 -
Hi,
I think it is fair for the assessor to ask you to stop if they were finding it triggering themselves.
I do also understand why you feel it's unfair, however I don't believe going any deeper into those experiences would give you any more chance at getting a PIP award. PIP is about completing practical tasks, and as long as the assessor understood how much those practical tasks were being impacted by your memories and experiences, I do believe they will have had enough information to go on from there.

Hi,
They are generally around 30-60 minutes. The time varies depending on the number of conditions you have and the amount of evidence that has already been submitted in writing.

Thanks, for that.
