It sounds like you've had a paper based assessment, so you didn't need to be there for that.
Alternatively, this text might just be an error.
I'd just wait for the letter to come through. But others would phone up to check. So it's your choice.

That means you had a paper based assessment.
Paper based assessments are done when the assesor feels they have enough information with minimal or no further input from the claimant.
Your case either went to an assessment agency, or is increasingly common stayed in house with the DWP Decision Maker.
If you browse the PIP section of the forum you can read many other topics started by people in the same position.
