new diagnosis
I'm on standard rate pip and a few months ago I had x-rays on my hands, the doctor said its moderate to severe arthritis, also ive finally been told ive got fibro myalgia, I'm. seeing my doctor again Tuesday. do I need to tell the DWP/PIP. this information I'm due a review in 2026 cant remember exactly when. Thanks

Hi @ketokid, you shouldn't need to tell PIP about your new diagnosis. PIP is mostly about how your conditions affect you day to day rather than what diagnosis you have. Unless your symptoms have got significantly worse and you think you might need a higher award, it's probably best to wait and you can mention it in your next review ☺️

ok thanks Rosie, ive got enough stress do deal with at the moment moving over to UC from the support group, I'm waiting for a call from DWP to confirm my identity has I only have a passport for id
