Hi, my name is Bob777! 16k allowance per person?
Hi we are due to inherit a sum of money which would take our bank account over 16K. Which means that it would affect my benefits
Is that 16k per person or same amount for a married couple??
Just I deal with my mother bank account and as a OAP on pension credit her allowance is 23K for one OAP??

For Universal Credit the limit is £16k per claim whether single or couple.
It's literally the only advantage in being single - we get one perk in a society built for couples & families 😂
Pension Credit is a totally different benefit with different rules.

Unless you live in sheltered or supported accommodation, you'll be receiving Housing Element as part of UC.
The £16k limit applies to Universal Credit.
Your ESA & DLA are not impacted by your inheritance.
