It does feel like some of these proposals are being deliberately cruel for views and votes. For them it makes good attention-grabbing headlines, but it's so horrible for disabled people to have to have this kind of thing popping up all the time. So frustrating! 0

You may be right or you maybe wrong..The point being made is, some people people get full PIP for mental health and are eligible for a car. Now if that's the case, then what happens to people who have missing limbs or serious walking problems, is it fair that someone who has all his/her limbs getting a car that doesn't fit their criteria. In my opinion, only severely disabled should have cars. 1

If they were talking like this about a particular race or just women and not men, everyone would be up in arms calling them racist or sexist, but for some reason it's okay to talk like this about disabled and mentally ill people. So it seems that to a lot or most people racism and sexism is really bad but disablism and mentalism are okay, I really don't understand why it's like this. 0

The Motability scheme was never intended to provide cars for anxiety and depression. If you are arguing for their inclusion, that is another matter. The scheme is bloated as things stand. 1

Eligibility for Motability is based on the mobility component of disability benefits, not on whether someone has a physical or mental health diagnosis. If someone qualifies, they qualify. Mental health conditions can severely restrict safe travel. The scheme reflects that. It’s not bloated. It’s lawful, inclusive, and necessary. 3
