Hi my partner and I went to the job center about 10 days ago and we did all the checks etc. to claim UC. We gave the letters with the two separate amounts of backpay i got back from my pip telephone tribunal . The agent at the job center said that everything should be ok But now we are both getting a phone call next week to discuss savings and investments is this normally how it works please, thanks

Hello @ketokid.
It can be usual for them to want to double check the savings amounts and ensure everything is order, especially if your savings have increased or decreased aside from the backpay.
Good luck with the phone calls and please let us know how you get on.

Had the telephone money , savings and investments phone call . the person was very nice we got asked to clarify the amounts in our bank accounts and confirm the dates of the backpays. We also got asked if we had any plans for the money. The agent said it might affect our UC after the 12 months after the date of the backpays, but my partner said no this is not the case because it should be disregarded . And its not savings. Is this definitely correct ?

Capital for UC purposes is many things including property you don't live in, shares, money in all bank accounts savings & current etc.
Some backpay is disregarded for 12 months, some is disregarded indefinitely.
