Pip telephone assesment 2 & half hours
I’ve just had my telephone review assesment & it was 2 & half hours long. I feel frustrated, exhausted. The lady was very thorough I didn’t feel that rushed, she didn’t particularly go over the sections a lot was about going outside & what happened when I did. How many steps to my mums car to her door. How far could I walk before stopping. Nothing really otherwise was very specific. I’m really concerned because I broke down at the end. I have sent so much supporting evidence I never feel like I get my point across anyway. I haven’t taken a word in what she told me at the end & she just kept saying bless you all the way through. I feel it was awful

I had my PIP review assessment this morning & I feel frustrated, very confused & exhausted too. It lasted 90 minutes. He said it was all hypothetical questions he would be asking.
I gave my real world answers, which he already knew,he said it should be hypothetical answers. When I was getting confused,he kept saying, " it's a legal document that you've signed " ( my answers were all true & corresponded with the answers on my review and original form, backed up with medical evidence ). He even asked me about my height and weight.
My report was with the assessors and hour later.
I've no idea how it's going to go, it's made me more anxious than ever. The wait begins.

How long before I can phone in for a copy of my report?

Hello @MadCow1. If you've received a message to say they have received the report, you can request a copy of it right away.

Hi,@traceypeacock,
Sorry if you feel your post has been hijacked, that wasn't my intention. I was just wanting you to know that I had gone through a very similar assessment & you weren't alone in feeling the way you did.
No offence taken.

Hi @traceypeacock. PIP assessments are incredibly stressful and draining. Mine was a complete blur and I really questioned everything I'd said. Please don't worry about breaking down, I'm sure they are used to it as it's such an overwhelming process. I certainly had a big cry! I'm the same and panic about getting my point across so I made notes beforehand so I had some idea of what I could say. They didn't end up being very useful because, as you meantioned, they asked me how many steps to here and there and it really threw me off.
I ended up going through to tribunal before I was awarded but that's not the same for everyone. It's great that you've sent in lots of supporting evidence and hopefully that will be enough. If you're not awarded it, then you will need to do a Mandatory Reconsideration which is pretty common. The main thing is to try and stay calm and follow the process. There are lots of people here that have been through it all and can share their thoughts and hopefully put your mind at ease. It's done now, so try and be kind to yourself and wait to see what the result is and then work on the next steps when it's time.

I received the text today to say it was complete & to wait for the letter so I called the line & was convinced my award had been stopped as it didn’t tell me the date of my next payment I redialled using a different option & it told me my next payment was next year & it was quite abit of cash I had no idea what to make of it & held on the line anxious as the advisor told me my award has been extended till 2029 & I now get the enhanced mobility component aswell. My original award was enhanced daily living only so I am super impressed I don’t need to go through any MR etc as I was convinced my long assessment was horrendous.. thanks again everyone
