Non dependant starting work - notify the council and UC?
I have pip daily living / uc
My daughter is 19 about to start a full time job do I need to notify the council and uc ?
I ask as she’s under 21 and read sometime back they disregard at this age if on pip ?
I think after 21 they make a deduction for housing element.
Just trying to get it right.
advice welcomed

The way housing element non dependant deduction works is:
No deduction age under 21
No deduction over age 21 if you get Daily Living PIP.
So no need to inform UC.
There is no other potential impact on your UC claim.
If you claim Council Tax Reduction then as this is adminiered by your local council yes it is a good idea to update them.
Due to each area having different rules for CTR, it would be very hard to advise on any potential impact from here.
