    Hi @just4once

It's really frustrating and exhausting to have to repeatedly prove your situation, especially when your mobility is getting worse. I hope your new adaptions will be able to help with your pain and hopefully you won't have to wait to much longer for the outcome

I am just dreading them refusing me again and then going through the process again last time it took nearly two and half years to get back to tribunal

It doesn't make any sense. My award was not due to run out until April, and I have just had a text to say that they have completed my review without actually talking to me, and I am sure it must be a mistake, as they haven't asked me to clarify anything. I only sent my forms back in September. Now I am worried sick, as I could lose everything without a chance to explain my situation and how my daily life affects me. I am wondering if it's a postcode lottery with my award not ending until April, and you waiting since December. I am wishing you the best, and I hope that they make the right decision for you without having to go to a tribunal again, as that's not fair.

You have had what's known as a paper based assessment.

This is where the assessor (either with an external agency, or as is increasingly common a DWP Decision Maker) feels that they have enough information to make a decision with minimal or no further input from the claimant.

If you are unhappy with the decision you are still able to submit a Mandatory Reconsideration, appeal tribunal etc.

Yes, I thought it might be that, but thanks for the clarification. What is weird, though, is that some people wait months and months for their renewal and are given extensions, whereas my award shouldn't have run out until April, hence me wondering if it might be a postcode lottery.

It is frustrating but keep calm, there are backlogs and it looks like there is a move on your review now.

From what I have experienced, tribunals are very poor.
