Has anyone contested the Assessors Report (pip review) prior to a decision being made?

Ive just had my pip review.
Telephone consultation last Thursday. I requested a copy of my assessors report and it arrived today. Whilst she wrote alot of what I actually said when it came to choosing a descriptor for each task she didn't take any of it on board.
Ive heard you have a small window to write and contest the report before the DM makes their decision.
Has anyone ever done this and what was the outcome? Did they take any notice or just go with the Assessors recommendation anyway.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thankyou x
