Someone can claim Carers Allowance for looking after you, if you receive a qualifying benefit:
- Personal Independence Payment - daily living component
- Disability Living Allowance - the middle or highest care rate
- Scottish Adult Disability Living Allowance - the middle or highest care rate
- Attendance Allowance
- Pension Age Disability Payment
- Constant Attendance Allowance at or above the normal maximum rate with an Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit
- Constant Attendance Allowance at the basic (full day) rate with a War Disablement Pension
- Armed Forces Independence Payment
- Child Disability Payment - the middle or highest care rate
- Adult Disability Payment - daily living component at the standard or enhanced rate
No money will be deducted from your UC award.
If the carer receives UC, the Carers Allowance will be deducted in full from their UC award.
There are other criteria such as an earnings limit.
If the carer gets UC but not LCWRA element themselves, they can claim Carers Element (if you get a benefit above) which adds £201.68 to their UC award.
They can also make a new claim for UC + Carers Element if eligible.

So does that mean I will not be getting uc instaed they will get the careers allowance on my behalfis that correct can you explain in other wording as am confused and bit slower

They will receive Carers Allowance if they qualify.
If they already get UC then the Carers Allowance will be deducted from their UC award. (Mention Carers Element to them).
You will continue to get exactly the same UC payment including LCWRA.

So basically I will just get the lcwra and they will get the careers allowance so am better off just getting my normal payment which is uc and lcwra as am already receiving them correct.

LCWRA is part of UC.
The money you get now from UC would stay exactly the same even if the other person claimed Carers Allowance.
Their Carers Allowance does not change your money.
