Delivery day!
I always ignore the door when it goes, I struggle a lot to answer it and never see the point, as deliveries just leave it on my door step
But I ordered something that needs to be signed for and today's the day!! I paid extra for named day delivery, so I could know to expect it and now I feel sick and thinking about ignoring it.
It's such a stupid worry but I really struggle with this sort of thing so been trying to prepare myself for the brief exchange 😅

Have you thought of checking whether your local council have stickers for your front door? My council have a sticker advising the tenant needs extra time to answer the door.

Thanks @Chris75_!! I've not had to use them before as they always leave outside, but I think because the order is valuable it states it has to be signed for. It's due between 3.40-4.40

I hope you get your package on time. Who likes hanging about, with one eye on the front door?

Well I'm never ever opening the door again

Did it arrive @Biblioklept? How did it go?
I've said some hilariously awkward things to delivery people before. I'm sure the delivery person shrugs it off and never thinks about it again but I definitely do 😂

Did you get yourself something nice? I hope so!
We should have a special thread for that :)

What happened? I recently opened the door without trousers on, just my underwear and a short t-shirt. Accidentally of course! But surely it can't be as bad as flashing your undies to the delivery driver?

I don't answer the door ever either Bib, I either leave notes on the couriers delivery options, also on Amazon account or leave a door note and also told our post woman my issues she knocks and leaves any parcels bless her, she knows I'm in and knows I'll retrieve it shortly after.

I'm sorry but 🤣🤣🤣 not as bad as that, I completely stumbled over my words and misunderstood what he wase saying and he had to repeat himself way too many times!
I kinda love (but also feel bad) that it isn't just me!! Maybe we need an 'embarrassing stories' thread 😅😁
Oooh I hadn't thought about leaving notes on the courier options, that's a good call! It's normally okay but sometimes things need signing for and it is a pain. I liked during Covid where they'd sign for everything themselves!!
Thanks @SmellyBin!! I did, I got a FitBit, I've been wanting one for a while for the trackers and decided to treat myself as I've been doing good with getting out a bit more ❤️

When I was a paper laddie, I once got a much better one than that.
It was a Sunday morning, and I couldn't fit the paper through the letter box, and rang the bell. A woman answered, obviously just out the tub, and as she took the paper, her towel fell away!
I got a full eyeful, but i bet her husband got a worse experience later on, as he was stood behind her, doubled up with laughter! 🤣

I bet she gave him a right earful! 🤣I would have laughed too. I bet posties have seen a lot over the years.

This was the late 1980s, and I doubt there are even paper boys any more! That Sunday round only paid £1.
