how do I be successful with pip with severe social anxiety and depression?

I have my condition on doctors record but was never properly diagnosed and I was referred to community mental health team a year ago but only went for the assesment never went to more appointments because I’m only able to go if someone goes with me and no one would. But I’m looking at asking the doctor to refer me again, would this help with getting pip?
I’ve had severe anxiety since I was about 10, I stopped talking to eceryone apart from family and missing out on a lot of school because of it, i was house bound for years after because my anxiety was that bad I couldn’t leave the house and I also slept all day, everyday because of depression but never really had any professional help my family never took me to get help, they never brought it up to the doctors from what I remember if I was offered help I don’t think I ever did it because my anxiety was that bad I couldn’t leave the house. The teachers in school thought I might have autism but never got a diagnosis. Now I’m in my late 20s and still just as bad and don’t know what to do about pip I applied once and got denied. Any advice ?

@duucjeiric I have replied within your previous thread. You apply again, but do it yourself. Go into more detail on what you have typed in this thread. Actual examples like when you missed the appointment due to overwhelming stress help. See if your GP can help with evidence. You can get help to fill out the form from a few organisations like Citizens Advice. You don't need a diagnosis for PIP. You give as much detail about your disabilities and how they have affected you over all those years.

do you think it would be possible to ask for a paper based assesment instead of having my appointee do the assesment and remove them as appointee since they downplay how bad I am? Or should I just change appointee

You can remove your family as Appointee, you need to do that and reapply yourself. This makes sure you get the money from any PIP award too! You can ask for a paper based assessment but they don't always agree. To help to get a paper based assessment, you must send in enough information and evidence about your disabilities to not warrant the telephone assessment, which is normally arranged due to more information needed.

I’m unable to talk on the phone so wouldn’t be able to do the assessment if it’s a phone call so don’t know if I should have no appointee or just change the appointee

You can change your Appointee to someone that will help you, that would be helpful.
