REA & IIA
I reach pension age next month, I am getting letters telling me, this changes, that changes, not allowed this or that.
But I'm confused as to reduced earnings allowance letter, then my industrial injuries benefit allowance letters, very confusing.
Reduced earnings stops and I will get £22:00 Retirement Allowance, but it will be paid on top of industrial injuries benefit,if I am still in receipt of it, which I am, it is confusing as to does it stop altogether , and I just get the £22:00 RA, 🤷

To be honest I no idea, I been unable to work for a number of years now, because of accident I had when working. I'm getting letters telling me IIA and REA change, which is confusing me, as I thought they were both same

@benn60 The Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit does not stop at the State Pension Age. Individuals who have been injured from an accident while working can continue to receive this benefit. However, if the individual's Reduced Earnings Allowance is £2 or more a week when they reach State Pension age and are not in regular employment, they will be replaced with another benefit called Retirement Allowance. This benefit is designed to support individuals who have been unable to work due to their condition. (From Government website)

Thank you Trevor, appreciated. That sheds a bit more light onto all the mail I have been recieving.
Now I must try and understand what the letters mean I received past couple of days regarding one or two other things.
Thank you

@benn60 Thank you, I am happy it has helped you. You could try Turn2Us for Benefits help too if you are struggling to understand it all.
