    @CliveB there is a thread called Time Frame below with the same question.

    @Kimi87 wrote:-

    Official timescales are anything up to 12 weeks for a decision.

    There are many variables (whether the assessment goes for audit before being sent to DWP, individual Decision Maker workload etc) and nothing should be read into your decision that's taking longer than someone else's did.

    You can contact PIP and ask for a copy of the report once they've received it, prior to getting the decision.

    Thanks Kimi

    Welcome to the community @CliveB! I can see Trevor's already answered your question here with Kimi's advice. But yes time scales can vary a lot from case to case, so unfortunately it's quite difficult to say how long it'll be before you hear back. Hopefully you're not waiting too long and you get the result you're looking for.

    Best of luck ☺️

    No problem. I mentioned the other thread because Kimi had replied to it with excellent information and it was easier to copy her reply than type my own. Fingers are too big and I take an age to reply due to errors.

    There are other benefits apart from UC which may be better for you with a partner that works like NS ESA. May be an idea to talk to a benefits adviser. I can't comment as no experience of NS ESA. Sorry about your business.
