PIP tribunal but condition deteriorated
Hi,
I’ve been given a tribunal date for January 2026 after waiting 1.5 years however my condition has progressed in that time with much more disability then when I initially appealed. I wasn’t aware that the panel don’t take your condition now into account and only go off what your condition was like when appealing? How would I go about reporting this do I still go to the tribunal or start fresh claim telling them about my disability atm??
thanks

@Taz29 you are correct. The Tribunal will only consider your disabilities and condition at the time of your review. If you are still receiving a PIP award, you can put in for a Change of Circumstances. You can do this waiting for a Tribunal. Since your Tribunal is next month, you will get that over with while your Change in Circumstances is on going. Take into consideration, what result you may get from the Tribunal and would you be happy beforehand, just to save you the stress of the Change of Circumstances.
