What & How Do Morals & Ethics Govern Artificial Intelligence Today
Time and time again, we always hear that Artificial Intelligence is the root of all our problems in today's society - the perceived toxicity of social media, how life before Artificial Intelligence was somewhat better, etc. Unfortunately, time moves forward and not backwards and as a result the advancement in technology is inevitable. The question(s) that I am asking is What & How Do Morals & Ethics Govern Artificial Intelligence Today? Is Christianity transcendent to Artificial Intelligence? If so, how does that work out in a faith diverse world? Or do secular morals and ethics govern the Artificial Intelligence sphere today? How do we make Artificial Intelligence become a mirror reflection of our hopes and desires for a consistent way of living and to ensure our children and their children after them live in a world where they consent to live in???

You have packed a lot in your post regarding AI, the moral side, the social worries, the faith angle, and the whole “what kind of world are we leaving for our children” bit. But honestly, the heart of it is much simpler, AI doesn’t have beliefs or a worldview of its own. It isn’t Christian, secular, spiritual, or anything else. It just mirrors the choices of the people who build and regulate it.
So for me, the big question isn’t “What does AI believe?”, it’s how we regulate and oversee the people who build these systems, so the technology ends up reflecting the values we actually want in society, not just the personal values of whoever happens to be programming it.
