Sometimes i could kick myself!

In September 2025 my brilliant GP decided i could receive Mounjaro weight loss injections because of my various health conditions. I had a couple of long telephone conversations with the BPO program coach who informed me that i must have a compulsory one hour group video call between 6pm -7pm every Wednesday evening and that its an integral part of the program. I immediately went into panic mode because due to health issues it will be highly unlikely that i will manage to join many of those compulsory video calls so i thanked the BPO and declined. She then informed me that she will discharge me from the program. I know i made a mistake by refusing to attend the video call sessions but being thrown off the program for failing to attend them was going to be highly likely too. I could still kick myself though!

    #@MrHappy,

It can be very intimidating to 'have' to attend meetings irrespective of mode of communication, especially if you have a condition that puts you in an uncomfortable position or you feel you would not be able to cope with. However, I do not know what BPO programme is and I do not know why you having this medication to help support your other health issues you should be excluded because you cannot (for whatever reason) manage a 'group' on line session. I don't think I would either. That said, could you contact the people saying you need to attend and ask them more about the programme, how it works etc, etc….? I am aware of several people who are taking or have been prescribed this medication but as far as I am aware none are having to participate in an online group meeting. Perhaps you could consider speaking with your GP and ask for clarification on the medication and ask why you are being 'singled' out because your conditions prevent you from participating in this way? Just a thought. I wish you well regardless of whatever you choose to do.
