Be it Venuzuela or Greenland - he has to accept that wealth doesn't always pay........

Territorial politics is messy everywhere. It’s rarely as simple as one country behaving badly and another behaving well.
As Brits, we might want to be careful about presenting ourselves as the moral benchmark. Our own record is complicated, and the Chagos Islands are a very current example.
We’ve agreed to hand sovereignty of the Chagos Islands to Mauritius and then pay around £101 million a year for 99 years to lease Diego Garcia back. That’s roughly £10 billion for territory we originally removed its indigenous population from.
It’s a difficult history, and not one that gives us much room for mockery.

I think the UK's relationship with America will become very strained over Greenland situation at the moment, his language is becoming very rhetoric at the moment. His threats with military action will not help the situation either.
We were no better in the 50s/60s and 70s with going into other countries, in fact we've invaded more countries including the USA, than any other country. He and Putin are flexing their muscle with nuclear arms at the moment, let's hope it stays like that.
But there is a dangerous man in the White House, who some people will say he is too old. But listen to his supporters that back him, then you'll be worried. He's the only president who still does rallies, that I've known anyway in my lifetime of watching America.

You can't just walk into another country and decide to run it - nowadays !
What he is trying to do will not hold in any court of law - if he does do what he plans - it will come back and bite him on the **** !

I fear he is emboldened following his incursion into Venezuela last week, hence the Greenland rhetoric rearing its ugly head again, and this intervention today on the Russian tanker between Scotland and Iceland. I can't imagine he cares much for any Court of Law/International law and certainly not NATO. Fragile times.

I think that Trump is more of a threat to world peace than Putin and I never thought that I would say that.

I can't help wonder how we can NOT worry with all these guys making (more of) a mess of this world. On the other hand, I try not to let it get to me or it might do my head in.

The biggest thing that struck me on hearing the latest on what Trump had been up to was this, that happened just last year…
President Donald Trump officially pardoned former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández of a drug trafficking conviction, amid criticism from Democrats and some Republicans that it contradicts his narco-trafficking crackdown in the Caribbean.
Records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons show that Hernández, the former two-term president of Honduras, was released from West Virginia’s high-security USP Hazelton prison on Monday. The White House also confirmed Tuesday that Trump had issued the pardon.
In 2024, Hernández was handed a 45-year prison sentence for his role in trafficking roughly 400 tons of cocaine into the U.S.
But Trump has framed the case as yet another example of overreach from the administration of former President Joe Biden.
Trump is a twisted, liar & felon & is trying to do anything to deflect from what he has going on in his background, being a good pal of Epstein being one. I wonder how many rich pal pedophiles he has pardoned too! No matter what the cost.
