Message from DWP
Hi, I am new here.
I have just received a note in my Journal from UC:
Would you like to have a chat about how I can help you?We can talk about how I can support you. And we can identify things you can do to help you take the next steps – but only when you’re ready to.For example, we can talk about:- developing your skills- building your confidence- the things that matter to you- potential options for the futureThis chat is voluntary for you. It will not cause us to re-assess your capability for work. The amount of Universal Credit you receive will not change. If you want to know more, please reply to this journal message. I will arrange to contact you at a convenient time.
I am in no position to be working. My health and disabilities are getting worse, not better.
Do I need to reply, or is this just a standard format for everyone?
Thank you for any help.

These messages are being sent to everyone that gets LCWRA element, you'll probably receive it once more.
You can ignore it & don't need to reply, unless you wish to take them up on the offer.

Hi @Jules_J and welcome to the community! This is a standard message that everyone gets and you're fine to ignore it. You may get another message but just ignore that one too.

@Jules_J Hi I got this too a few months ago and it was scary receiving it but I was reassured on here too that I could ignore it and it won’t affect your support by ignoring it :)

Hiya @yellowpineapple84 , yeah, I was panicking! Anything to do with the DWP triggers me. I will be happily ignoring it :) I appreciate you reaching out, thank you :) I'm grateful for all the help and support here.

Hi @Jules_J thanks for your reply :) Me too, anything DWP related triggers me too and fills me with fear. Thankfully on here whenever I’ve had a question or wanted to check something I’ve been helped and reassured by the community. It’s really good we have this place and I’m glad you’ve found this place too :)
