Carers allowance
Hello so I was employed as a Xmas temp and each monthly pay I didn’t exceed the limit of 196 so was still entitled to carers allowance but in December being busy period I went over the limit , so I did the right thing and let carers know and they have suspended my claim. But I’m sadly having to leave in January due to the company not having enough hours so what do I do come end of January do I apply for carers allowance again ? Also I’m worried as universal credit still take the carers allowance deductions as if I’m still recieving it because it’s been suspended . When I ring up carers allowance they are not able to tell me anything it’s so worrying and I’m pulling my hair out 🥺

Hi,
Carers Allowance should only be suspended in this situation. The claim shouldn't have closed completely.
Unfortunately the only people who can tell you what's happening are the Carers Allowance phone line.
UC deductions get sent from the CA department, so UC won't change until CA sort it out at their end.

My husbands carers allowance was suspended until they did their investigations which was around 7 weeks, once it was done he got paid the arrears and the money started again . Call again and ask if this is the case for you .

Your case will be in a pile of others waiting to be assessed and decided on. All you can do is wait until they get round to it unfortunately.

if I am let go end of January with my job can I then make another claim for carers allowance as I’m going to be losing money waiting them to actually look at my claim

Sorry, you won't be able to start a new claim while the old one is still under review.
If you're underpaid then you will get backpay eventually, though I appreciate that doesn't help your situation right now.
