PIP renewal
20 weeks is the usual amount of time for an application to be looked at so expect to hear at any time around 20 weeks before and it will be a PIP2 form PIP3 form etc.

when I was awarded pip , I noticed it ends thiS year around the time of my 66th birthday , surely this is a mistake as the reasons for the award will not have gone by then , in fact they are getting worse.
why do they do this? is it an assumption that I will not need. it as my life worth less

Hi @Bertie1960, many people get their PIP moved onto an indefinite award after they reach state pension age, especially if your conditions haven't changed. You shouldn't be suddenly taken off PIP if things have stayed the same for you. There's some information about it on the Citizens Advice website here:
If you're worried, you could contact the PIP enquiry line just to check what will be happening with your PIP.
Welcome to the community @Adamorganic2026. Sorry your post was missed at the time. Are you going through a PIP review? Hope everything's going well for you.

MMy pip is also due for renewal in October, but I have not yet received review letter from them. I am definitely worse not better than my last review, and the health issues I have are lifelong. Last review I was finally given higher rate for my mobility and a little back pay....I'm worried every time a review is due as some of the people are very unpleasant. I suffer badly with mental health, I also have psychosis. If asked for a face to face again I'm sure it would push me to a breakdown, can I request paper based? Also , when should I expect my review if my Pip end date is October this year? Any info would be massively appreciated 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

You can request a paper based assessment, but DWP/the assessment provider don't have to agree.
Reviews are started on average 9-12 months before expiry, it's impossible to be any more specific unfortunately.

Same it depends who deals with your claim. Some are more sympathetic than others it really can be the luck of the draw which is always open to appeal should things not go your way.
