Back pay and debt management
Hi my award was recently increased at tribunal and I’m owed £3000 back pay. The dwp have sent this to debt management for a historical social fund loan- which I have a payment plan for in place for last 5 years.
I have called debt management and told them I’m behind on priority bills plus was counting on the money to pay for care costs. The lady said that’s ok once we get the money off dwp we will refund you and made notes of that
I called again for an update and they still have not had the money but the man said that I need to keep calling and once they receive payment whoever I speak to on the day will decide if I can be refunded. Has anyone else been in similar situation

Hi @lllg, welcome to the community. Sorry to hear you're struggling to get your back pay from debt management. I'm afraid I don't have experience of this first hand, but I hope some of our members might be able to share their experiences and advice soon.
Just wanted to pop in and say hello and welcome anyway. Fingers crossed it all gets sorted for you quickly!
