Permitted work

I did permitted work in the past for a charitable organisations a few years ago to cover maternity leave. That was only temporary with the possibility or further permitted work to cover annual leave. I haven’t been never been told that that had ended.

I haven’t been back to the organisation since it’s relocation and lockdown.

have received a PW8 form to fill in to check if I am still doing permitted work. I am no longer doing permitted work and haven’t done so for a while. Eg for a few years. I haven’t been offered anything for a long time.

I am worried that when I get given an end date that it would mess things up benefit wise for me. I am now on new style ESA snd UC. NSESA because it is assumed that I am still doing permitted work.

Benefits while doing permitted work remained the same. The option of still being offered permitted work stopped me from informing DWP.

This letter I got is the first I received since doing permitted work. I had no letter acknowledging that the permitted work started or advice of what to do when it ended.

Hi @Alisonc65. Your benefits shouldn't be affected at all. Ideally, you should let them know when there is a change of circumstances, in your case stopping permitted work, but you haven't done anything wrong don't worry. Just let them know you're not working anymore and your benefits should remain the same.
