Hey my daughters husband will be moving in i will state he will be sleeping in a pull out bed as they are not together

He had a very unstable past with prison and outstanding court payments being taken from his uc

We will be asking for a apa she is currently on pip and limited capability for work we will not be adding him to a joint tenancy and he will be classed as a occupant only

We have come to this agreement as his currently staying in a hmo this is affecting his ability to see his children social services will not allow them at his property and his currently in no position to move and as a single man would not get help from Birmingham City council especially due to having a roof over his head

My question is will Sophie’s current income remain the same or will this be lower?

Just so we can prepare as we currently have her direct debits all set up for her and her landlord payments are made by uc and not given to sophie directly we have explained this in more detail to her work coach and have explained nothing will change upon him moving

In and with him only receiving £300 a month in benefits he would only be required to pay for his own food and savings towards eventually finding somewhere else to live
