DLA Mandiatory Reconsideration

Refused HR Mobility for my son this week after waiting since July 25. Now I've requested a statement of reasons and Mandatory reconsideration. Had to verbally state what I'm disputing and what evidence I'm sending. I only have 28 days to do so. What exactly is required as I've asked all professionals for any letters or reports but one secretary I spoke to said the clinic letter/appointment should be enough so no report as such from them coming! What did you send as "evidence"?

It’s difficult to suggest what evidence to provide without knowing why you feel your son meets the criteria for high-rate mobility, as the reasons can be quite specific. Remember not everyone will meet the criteria for high-rate mobility, even with the same conditions as another child.

In general, it helps to focus on how he struggles to walk or get around day to day, things like distance, pain, balance, speed, fatigue, safety, or needing supervision. Evidence that reflects everyday reality (GP or therapy notes, school reports, a short diary of difficulties) is usually more useful than diagnoses alone.

For a mandatory reconsideration, try to add any new evidence or expand upon what you've already shared, that directly links his difficulties to the mobility criteria.
