PIP AR2 no change question

Hi I am currently getting my ducks in a row as our son was awarded highest rate pip for daily living and mobility. He was given an ongoing award in 2017 and it states we will contact you after May 2027. I am aware the reassessment form could come any time before or after. My main question is do you tick no change as he hasn’t had any changes, and leave it at that or do I provide examples of how his condition continues to affect him. I don’t want to end up writing war and peace but also don’t want to make the mistake of not providing enough information. I have up to date medical information to send and would assume it would be an AR2 form. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Hi,

This isn't a simple yes or no question unfortunately.

For the majority of claimants, I would always suggest adding a sentence or two as back up, even if nothing has changed. However, as your son was awarded Enhanced for both with an ongoing award, that suggests to me that his conditions are fairly obvious and fit into the PIP descriptors easily. Cases like this should get away with putting no change, but it is never certain. I have seen examples of both, where some who put no change keep their award, and others who put no change lose it.

Hi thanks for the info, it does seem a bit of a grey area. I will just do extra info with up to date examples to add as I am not convinced they may even send the correct form out. Especially after reading other peoples experiences. Some people have had AR1 forms when they should of had AR2. Will wait and see but thank you for the reply.
