There should be an appeal process.

You can also speak to a local welfare rights organisation. They deal with many areas not just DWP benefits.

With Blue Badges most local authorities have set criteria for automatic qualification, and discretionary criteria.

Although you feel you've submitted enough evidence, it might not have been the right evidence in order to get your application approved.

One example is PIP Enhanced Mobility, often that isn't enough as the points awarded have to be specific to quality automatically for a Blue Badge. Not merely an award by itself.

I'm unsure if there is an Ombudsman that deals with Blue Badges.

You need to follow the appeal process with your Local Authority, asking for it to be escalated if you are unhappy with the reply.

If you click on the purple text in my previous reply, that will take you to two different pages that should help.

Sometimes it depends on the county, some are very restrictive in issuing blue badges.

Hi @Meseret1974 and a warm welcome to the community from me!

Sorry this has happened to you, it's always stressful being turned down for support!

There is the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman that may be worth looking into as they potentially could deal with blue badges but as Kimi said it is definitely best to follow the appeal process of your local authority first.
